16-Time NHRA Champion Undergoes Evaluation After Medical Emergency

Yorba Linda, CA – John Force, the 16-time NHRA Funny Car champion, was rushed to a nearby hospital on Saturday after suffering a medical emergency.

According to eyewitnesses, Force was at his team’s headquarters in Yorba Linda, California, when he suddenly fell ill. Team members quickly called emergency services, and Force was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

Details about Force’s condition are scarce, but a statement released by John Force Racing said that the legendary driver is undergoing tests and evaluation.

“John Force was taken to the hospital today after experiencing a medical emergency,” the statement read. “He is currently undergoing tests and evaluation, and we will provide updates as more information becomes available.”

Force, 72, is one of the most successful drivers in NHRA history, with 16 Funny Car championships and 149 career wins. He has been competing at the top level of the sport for over four decades and is widely regarded as one of the greatest drag racers of all time.
