GEORGETOWN, GUYANA – President Irfaan Ali of Guyana hosted a farewell dinner in honor of outgoing Chinese Ambassador to Guyana, Guo Haiyan, at the State House in Georgetown.

The dinner, which was attended by senior government officials, diplomats, and other dignitaries, marked the end of Ambassador Guo’s tenure in Guyana.

President Ali praised Ambassador Guo for her outstanding contributions to strengthening bilateral relations between Guyana and China during her time in office.

“Ambassador Guo has been a true friend of Guyana, and her dedication to deepening our bilateral ties has been unwavering,” President Ali said.

Ambassador Guo expressed her gratitude to President Ali and the government of Guyana for their support and cooperation during her tenure.

“I am proud of what we have achieved together, and I am confident that the strong foundation we have laid will continue to guide our bilateral relations in the years to come,” Ambassador Guo said.
