*BREAKING: DIPLOMATIC CRISIS UNFOLDS!* Venezuela’s President Accuses Guyana of ‘Unlawful’ Actions in Esequibo Region

CARACAS, VENEZUELA – A diplomatic crisis is unfolding between Venezuela and Guyana, as Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro accused Guyana of “unlawful” actions in the contested Esequibo region.

In a televised address, Maduro denounced Guyana’s alleged incursions into the disputed territory, which has been a point of contention between the two nations for decades.

“Guyana’s actions are a clear violation of international law and a threat to regional stability,” Maduro said. “We will not stand idly by while our sovereignty is challenged.”

The Esequibo region, which is rich in natural resources, has been claimed by both Venezuela and Guyana since the 19th century. The dispute has led to tensions between the two nations, with both sides accusing each other of aggression.

Guyana’s President, Irfaan Ali, has yet to respond to Maduro’s accusations, but the Guyanese government has previously maintained that it has the right to explore and develop the resources in the disputed region.

The diplomatic crisis comes at a time of heightened tensions in the region, with Venezuela facing economic sanctions and a humanitarian crisis.

The international community is calling for calm and restraint, with the United Nations urging both sides to engage in dialogue to resolve the dispute peacefully.
