BREAKING: Duke Blue Devils Land Five-Star Guard Jordan Reynolds in Game-Changing Commitment…READ MORE…

DURHAM, N.C. — In a major win for Duke basketball, the Blue Devils have secured the commitment of five-star guard Jordan Reynolds, widely regarded as one of the top prospects in the 2025 recruiting class. The 6-foot-5 combo guard out of Los Angeles, California, officially signed with Duke this week, adding even more firepower to an already stacked program.
Reynolds, known for his explosive athleticism, silky-smooth handles, and elite scoring ability, chose Duke over other powerhouse programs including Kentucky, Kansas, and UCLA. His commitment is being hailed as one of the biggest recruiting coups of the year for head coach Jon Scheyer and his staff.
“This is a dream come true,” Reynolds said during his announcement at Sierra Canyon High School. “Duke has always been a place I looked up to growing up. From Coach K’s legacy to the brotherhood of players who’ve gone through there, it felt like home the moment I stepped on campus. Coach Scheyer’s vision for me and for the team was everything I was looking for.”
Reynolds cited two major reasons for his decision: the player development program at Duke and the school’s academic prestige.
“First, I wanted to be somewhere that could prepare me for the next level, and nobody does that better than Duke,” Reynolds said. “Second, my family and I have always valued education, and being able to attend a university with Duke’s reputation means everything.”
Coach Jon Scheyer expressed his excitement in a statement released Monday. “Jordan is a dynamic guard with the rare ability to change a game on both ends of the court,” Scheyer said. “His work ethic, leadership, and character are just as impressive as his skillset. We’re thrilled to welcome him to the Duke family.”
Reynolds averaged 23.1 points, 7.4 assists, and 5.9 rebounds per game during his junior season and was named California Gatorade Player of the Year. He’s expected to step into a key role right away in Durham, especially with multiple Blue Devils likely to depart for the NBA after the 2024–25 season.
Basketball analysts say Reynolds has the potential to be a “one-and-done” star at Duke, but his impact could go far beyond statistics.
“Jordan’s game is already mature beyond his years,” said ESPN recruiting analyst Paul Biancardi. “He has a polished offensive game, is a tenacious defender, and most importantly, he’s a leader. He’ll thrive in Duke’s system and will make everyone around him better.”
The Blue Devils continue to dominate the recruiting trail under Scheyer, and Reynolds’ signing solidifies their place among the nation’s elite. With the addition of Reynolds, Duke’s 2025 recruiting class now ranks in the top three nationally.
Reynolds will officially join the program in the summer of 2025, but Duke fans are already buzzing with anticipation. In a program that has seen legends like Kyrie Irving, Jayson Tatum, and Zion Williamson, Jordan Reynolds may be the next name etched into Blue Devil lore.
