KD UNSTOPPABLE: KEVIN DURANT DROPS 50 POINTS IN THRILLING WIN OVER RIVALS

Phoenix, AZ – Kevin Durant put on a show for the ages last night, scoring a season-high 50 points to lead the Phoenix Suns to a thrilling 125-118 win over their Western Conference rivals, the Los Angeles Clippers.

Durant’s dominant performance was a masterclass in scoring, as he shot 18-28 from the field, including 5-8 from three-point range, and 9-10 from the free throw line.

The 34-year-old forward was unstoppable from the opening tip, scoring 15 points in the first quarter to set the tone for the rest of the game.

“I just tried to stay aggressive and take what the defense gave me,” Durant said in a post-game interview. “My teammates did a great job of finding me and setting screens for me. It was just one of those nights where everything was clicking.”

The Suns, who have been struggling to find consistency this season, needed every bit of Durant’s heroics to hold off a fierce Clippers team that was led by 35 points from Paul George.

The win was a crucial one for the Suns, who moved into a tie for fifth place in the Western Conference standings.

“Kevin was incredible tonight,” said Suns coach Monty Williams. “He’s a special player who can take over games like this. We’re lucky to have him on our team.”

Durant’s 50-point performance was his first of the season and the 12th of his career. He also added 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 blocks to his stat line.

The Suns will look to build on this momentum when they host the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night.
