PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers have made a major splash in free agency, officially signing standout linebacker Jaxon Reid to a long-term deal, the team announced Tuesday morning. Reid, one of the most sought-after defensive talents on the market, brings intensity, leadership, and game-changing ability to a Steelers defense looking to return to elite status.

The 26-year-old linebacker, formerly with the Arizona Cardinals, agreed to a 5-year, $87 million contract, with $52 million guaranteed. The signing marks one of the biggest defensive acquisitions for Pittsburgh in the last decade and sends a strong message to the rest of the AFC North.
