*Guyana Tightens Grip on Expired Landing Permits*

GEORGETOWN, GUYANA – The Guyanese government has introduced stricter rules for extensions of expired permission to land, in a bid to enhance national security and enforce immigration laws.

According to a statement released by the Ministry of Home Affairs, individuals and organizations seeking to extend their expired permission to land will now be required to meet more stringent criteria.

“The new regulations are designed to ensure that all individuals and organizations operating in Guyana are compliant with our laws and regulations,” said the Minister of Home Affairs. “We will no longer tolerate laxity and non-compliance.”

Under the new rules, applicants will be required to provide additional documentation, including proof of identity, proof of address, and proof of financial resources. They will also be subject to more rigorous background checks.

The government has warned that failure to comply with the new regulations will result in penalties, including fines and imprisonment.

The move is seen as part of the government’s efforts to strengthen its immigration and border control policies, amid growing concerns about national security and public safety.
