CRYPTA BRAZIL SET TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM AND LAUNCH 2026 TOUR — DATE …read more…

In thrilling news for fans of extreme metal, Brazilian death metal powerhouse Crypta has officially announced the release of their highly anticipated third studio album, set to drop in early 2026. Alongside the album release, the band will also embark on a global headlining tour, kicking off in São Paulo on March 14, 2026.

The announcement was made via Crypta’s social media channels and official website, accompanied by a teaser video that sent shockwaves across the metal community. Titled “Veins of Ruin,” the upcoming album promises to continue the band’s evolution in the death metal scene with heavier riffs, darker themes, and a sharpened sense of identity.

A RISING FORCE IN METAL

Crypta was formed in 2019 by bassist and vocalist Fernanda Lira and drummer Luana Dametto, both formerly of thrash metal band Nervosa. With the addition of guitarists Tainá Bergamaschi and Jéssica di Falchi, the band quickly forged a sound rooted in old-school death metal, blended with modern aggression and melodic sensibilities. Their debut album Echoes of the Soul (2021) was critically acclaimed, followed by the 2023 release Shades of Sorrow, which saw the band solidify its presence on the international stage.

Now, with “Veins of Ruin,” Crypta aims to push their boundaries even further.

“This album is the most personal and intense work we’ve done so far,” said Lira in a press release. “We explored new lyrical territories, confronting not just the external horrors of the world but also our inner demons. It’s a raw, emotional, and brutal album.”

THE NEW SOUND AND CREATIVE DIRECTION

According to the band, the album was recorded in late 2025 at Family Mob Studio in São Paulo and produced by Otávio Rossato, known for his work with underground Brazilian metal acts. Mastering was handled by the legendary Jens Bogren, who has previously worked with Opeth, Amon Amarth, and Arch Enemy.

Guitarist Tainá Bergamaschi teased the sonic direction of the new material, describing it as “denser and more intricate, with complex structures and moments of melodic contrast that enhance the brutality.”

The band has also promised a few surprises on the album, including a guest appearance by a prominent European death metal vocalist — though they’ve yet to reveal the identity.

TOURING THE WORLD — BEGINNING IN BRAZIL

The Veins of Ruin World Tour 2026 will begin in Crypta’s homeland, with a major show in São Paulo at the legendary Audio Club on March 14. From there, the band will hit major cities across South America, North America, and Europe, with dates in Mexico City, Los Angeles, Berlin, Paris, and London already confirmed.

“We’ve been dying to return to the road with a brand new show,” said drummer Luana Dametto. “This tour is not just a concert — it’s a full-scale experience. New visuals, new setlist, new energy. We’re going all in.”

Ticket presales for select cities begin on November 5, 2025, with general sales opening on November 8 via the band’s website and major ticketing platforms.

FANS AND CRITICS REACT

Fans have been eagerly awaiting new material since Crypta wrapped their 2024 touring schedule. Reactions to the announcement have been overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the band’s consistency and growth over the years.

“Crypta never disappoints,” tweeted one fan. “Each album builds on the last. Can’t wait to hear what they’ve cooked up this time.”

Music critics have also taken note. Metal Hammer Brasil called Crypta “the torchbearers of Brazil’s next generation of metal,” and praised their previous albums for combining technical proficiency with authentic intensity.

With this upcoming release, the band appears ready to stake their claim as global heavyweights in a genre often dominated by North American and European acts.

STAYING TRUE TO THEIR ROOTS

Despite their growing international fame, Crypta remains proudly Brazilian in spirit and sound. Their music often reflects the social and political tensions of their home country, giving voice to themes of resistance, despair, and defiance.

In a recent interview, Lira noted, “Our identity as Brazilian women in metal shapes everything we do. It’s a part of our story, our rage, and our resilience.”

As anticipation builds, Crypta continues to represent a refreshing force in death metal — one that honors the past while fearlessly forging ahead.
