DURHAM, N.C. — The Duke Blue Devils have once again proven their dominance on the recruiting trail with the commitment of five-star shooting guard Marcus Holloway, one of the top prospects in the 2025 class. Holloway officially signed with Duke on Tuesday morning, capping off a competitive recruitment that saw top programs like Kentucky, Kansas, and Michigan State vying for his services.

The 6-foot-5 dynamic scorer out of Los Angeles, California, brings a lethal combination of athleticism, court vision, and elite shooting to an already stacked Blue Devils roster. Holloway averaged 27.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 4.8 assists during his senior season at Sierra Canyon High School, earning McDonald’s All-American honors and widespread acclaim as one of the most polished offensive threats in high school basketball.

“I chose Duke because of the tradition, the winning culture, and the way they develop players on and off the court,” Holloway said during his commitment ceremony. “Coach Scheyer made me feel like family from day one. It’s a place where I can grow as a man and a competitor.”
