Pomona, CA – John Force made history on Sunday, capturing his 150th career NHRA Funny Car win at the Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals at Auto Club Raceway. The victory cemented Force’s legacy as the greatest Funny Car driver of all time.

Force, 72, drove his PEAK Antifreeze and Coolant Chevrolet Camaro SS to a 3.988-second pass at 320.74 mph to defeat Matt Hagan in the final round. The win marked Force’s first of the 2023 season and his 150th in his illustrious career.

“I’m just so proud of my team,” Force said. “We’ve worked so hard to get to this point, and to win 150 Funny Car races is just an incredible feeling. I’m living the dream.”

Force’s 150th win is a testament to his dedication and perseverance in the sport. He has competed at the highest level for over four decades, earning 16 NHRA championships and setting numerous records along the way.

“John Force is a legend in the sport,” said NHRA President Glen Cromwell. “His 150th win is a remarkable achievement that showcases his talent, work ethic, and passion for drag racing.”
