Pomona, CA – At 72 years young, John Force is still the man to beat in the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). The legendary drag racer continued to defy age and expectations, dominating the competition at the recent NHRA Winternationals.

Force, a 16-time NHRA Funny Car champion, powered his Peak Chevrolet Camaro SS to a blistering 3.857-second pass at 331.45 mph, earning him the top spot in qualifying and setting the stage for a thrilling weekend of racing.

*FORCE’S UNSTOPPABLE RUN:*

Force’s impressive performance in Pomona marked his third consecutive No. 1 qualifier of the season, and his 164th career No. 1 qualifier. The winningest driver in NHRA history, Force has shown no signs of slowing down, despite being more than twice the age of many of his competitors.

“I’m just having fun out here,” Force said with a grin. “I’ve got a great team behind me, and we’re all working together to get the job done. I’m not thinking about retirement – I’m thinking about winning championships!”

Force’s fellow NHRA competitors were quick to praise the legend’s enduring success.
