Manny Diaz’s tenure as the head coach of the Miami Hurricanes was brief but deeply polarizing, and as the program continues to navigate through turbulent waters, many fans and analysts are revisiting his time at the helm with renewed scrutiny.

Appointed head coach in 2019 after serving as Miami’s defensive coordinator under Mark Richt, Diaz was viewed as a promising hire — young, energetic, and deeply familiar with the Hurricanes’ culture.
