GREALISH TARGETS REAL MADRID RETURN: Man City Star Offers Positive Injury Update Ahead of Second Leg

Manchester, England – Manchester City winger Jack Grealish has provided a positive injury update ahead of the second leg of the Champions League tie against Real Madrid.

Grealish, who has been struggling with a knock, was forced to miss the first leg of the tie, which ended in a 2-1 defeat for Manchester City. However, the English international is now targeting a return to action for the second leg, which is scheduled to take place at the Etihad Stadium.

“I’m feeling good, I’m feeling positive,” Grealish said in an interview with Manchester City’s official website. “I’ve been working hard with the medical team and the fitness coaches, and I’m hoping to be back soon.

“I was gutted to miss the first leg against Real Madrid, but I’m hoping to be back for the second leg. We know it’s going to be a tough game, but we’re confident that we can turn it around and get the result we need.”

Grealish’s return would be a major boost for Manchester City, who are looking to overturn a 2-1 deficit from the first leg. The English winger has been in impressive form this season, scoring 5 goals and providing 7 assists in all competitions.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola will be hoping that Grealish can make a speedy recovery and be available for selection for the second leg. The Spanish tactician knows that his team will need to be at their best if they are to overcome the deficit and progress to the next round of the Champions League.

“We are hoping that Jack can recover in time for the second leg,” Guardiola said. “He is an important player for us, and we know that he can make a big difference in big games.

“We will have to wait and see how he progresses over the next few days, but we are keeping our fingers crossed that he can make a speedy recovery and be available for selection.”

The second leg of the Champions League tie between Manchester City and Real Madrid is scheduled to take place at the Etihad Stadium on March 17.
