*GUARDIOLA FIRES BACK AT CAPELLO’S ARROGANCE CLAIM*

Manchester, England – Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has hit back at former England boss Fabio Capello’s claims that he is “arrogant”.

Capello made the comments in a recent interview, suggesting that Guardiola’s success with Barcelona and Bayern Munich had gone to his head.

However, Guardiola has responded strongly to the criticism, insisting that he is simply passionate about the game.

“I don’t think I’m arrogant,” Guardiola said in a press conference. “I’m just a person who loves football, who loves to work, and who wants to win.

“I respect Fabio Capello, he’s a great manager, but I don’t agree with his comments. I think I’ve shown over the years that I’m a humble person who works hard to achieve success.”

Guardiola also pointed out that Capello’s comments were unfair, given that the two men have never met or spoken.

“I don’t know Fabio Capello, I’ve never met him, I’ve never spoken to him,” Guardiola said. “So, I don’t understand why he’s made these comments about me.”

The Manchester City manager also took the opportunity to praise his players and staff, saying that they were the ones who deserved credit for the team’s success.

“I’m not the one who wins the games, it’s the players,” Guardiola said. “I’m just the manager, I’m just the one who tries to help them.

“So, I think it’s unfair to say that I’m arrogant. I’m just a person who loves football, and who wants to win.”
