Georgetown, Guyana – In a shocking announcement, Guyana’s President, Dr. Irfaan Ali, revealed that the country is planning to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

The announcement was made during a press conference at the Guyana International Conference Centre, where President Ali was flanked by officials from the Guyana Football Federation and other stakeholders.

“We are proud to announce that Guyana will be bidding to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup,” President Ali said. “This is a historic moment for our country, and we are confident that we have the infrastructure, the talent, and the passion to make this a successful event.”

The President revealed that the government has already begun working on upgrading the country’s sports infrastructure, including the construction of new stadiums and training facilities.

The Guyana Football Federation has already begun the process of bidding for the 2030 FIFA World Cup, and officials are optimistic about the country’s chances.

“We believe that Guyana has a unique opportunity to showcase its culture, its hospitality, and its passion for football to the world,” said Guyana Football Federation President, Wayne Forde. “We are confident that we can deliver a successful and memorable World Cup experience.”

The 2030 FIFA World Cup is expected to attract millions of spectators and billions of dollars in revenue, and hosting the event would be a major boost to Guyana’s economy.
