*JIMMY KIMMEL ARRESTED FOR PRANK CALLING THE WHITE HOUSE, CLAIMS IT WAS ‘JUST A JOKE’*
Washington D.C. – Jimmy Kimmel, host of ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, was arrested yesterday for allegedly making a prank call to the White House.
According to sources, Kimmel called the White House switchboard and pretended to be a high-ranking government official, asking to speak with the President.
The Secret Service took the call seriously and launched an investigation, tracing the call back to Kimmel’s studio.
Kimmel was taken into custody and charged with making a false statement to the Secret Service.
In a statement, Kimmel’s lawyer said, “Jimmy is a comedian and this was just a joke gone wrong. He never intended to cause any harm or disruption.”
The White House has declined to comment on the incident.
Kimmel’s arrest has sparked a debate about the limits of free speech and the role of comedy in society.
