Pomona, CA – In an emotional and thrilling conclusion to the NHRA season, Brittany Force, daughter of NHRA legend John Force, won her first NHRA Championship in dramatic fashion.

Force, driving for John Force Racing, edged out reigning champion Steve Torrence in the final round of the Auto Club NHRA Finals, securing the championship by a mere 16 points.

The victory marked a historic moment for the Force family, as Brittany became the first female driver to win the NHRA Top Fuel championship since Shirley Muldowney in 1982.

“I’m completely overwhelmed with emotion,” said Force, fighting back tears. “This is a dream come true, and I’m so grateful to have such an amazing team behind me.”

John Force, who was in attendance to watch his daughter make history, beamed with pride.

“I couldn’t be prouder of Brittany,” said the elder Force. “She’s worked so hard for this moment, and it’s amazing to see her achieve her dream.”

The championship is the culmination of a remarkable season for Force, who won four events and racked up 11 final-round appearances.

As the confetti settled and the cheers subsided, Force celebrated with her team and family, basking in the glory of her historic achievement.

“This is just the beginning,” said Force, smiling. “I’m excited to see what the future holds.”
