*Manchester City Parts Ways with Gareth Taylor on Eve of Cup Final*

MANCHESTER, ENGLAND – In a stunning move, Manchester City has announced that it has parted ways with manager Gareth Taylor, just five days before the highly-anticipated cup final.

The decision was made by the club’s hierarchy, citing a need for change in leadership. Taylor, who had been at the helm of Manchester City’s women’s team since 2020, had led the team to several successful campaigns, including a Women’s Super League title and an FA Cup victory.

“We would like to thank Gareth for his contributions to Manchester City during his time here,” said a club spokesperson. “However, we feel that a change in leadership is necessary to take the club forward.”

The timing of the decision has raised eyebrows, with many questioning the wisdom of sacking the manager on the eve of a major final.

“It’s a shock to everyone, but we have to focus on the cup final now,” said Manchester City midfielder, Keira Walsh. “We’ll do everything we can to win the trophy for Gareth and for the club.”

The club has announced that assistant manager, Alan Mahon, will take charge of the team for the cup final.
