*Manchester City Star Offers Bizarre Explanation for Forest Loss*

MANCHESTER, ENGLAND – In a shocking post-match interview, Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne attributed the team’s 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest to an unexpected factor: the opposing team’s “lucky” kit colors.

De Bruyne, known for his exceptional skills on the pitch, left many scratching their heads with his unusual explanation. “I think their kit colors played a big role in the game,” he said. “The way the green and white stripes seemed to hypnotize us, it was like they had an extra player on the pitch.”

When pressed for further clarification, De Bruyne insisted that the Forest players’ kit colors had a profound impact on Manchester City’s performance. “It’s not just about the physical aspect of the game,” he said. “Sometimes, the mental and visual aspects can be just as important. And today, Forest’s kit colors got inside our heads.”

Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper was amused by De Bruyne’s comments, saying, “I’m glad our kit man is getting some recognition. Maybe we’ll wear those kits again soon.”

Manchester City fans, however, were less than impressed with De Bruyne’s explanation. “That’s just a poor excuse for a poor performance,” said one fan. “We need to take responsibility for our mistakes, not blame the opposing team’s kit colors.”

The loss to Nottingham Forest has left Manchester City in fifth place in the Premier League, trailing fourth-placed Chelsea by three points.
