Berzon, a two-time NFCA All-American, announced her commitment to Oklahoma on Friday via Instagram, stating, “Norman, here I come. I am beyond grateful and excited for this opportunity!”

Berzon’s arrival comes at a crucial time for the Sooners, who are looking to bolster their pitching staff following the graduation of key players, including ace Sam Landry and Isabella Smith. With only two upperclassmen remaining in the bullpen, Berzon’s experience and skill set are expected to provide immediate impact.

During her tenure at LSU, Berzon compiled impressive statistics. In the 2024 season, she posted an 18-8 record with a 2.46 ERA over 139 1/3 innings, striking out 104 batters. Her sophomore year was particularly noteworthy, achieving a career-best 1.78 ERA over 204 innings. Overall, Berzon holds a career ERA of 2.02 with 416 strikeouts in 486.1 innings pitched.

Berzon’s addition is the first for Oklahoma through the transfer portal this offseason, signaling head coach Patty Gasso’s commitment to maintaining the program’s competitive edge.
