The Pittsburgh Steelers community is in shock as news spreads that former head coach Bill Cowher has passed away at the age of 67. According to sources close to the family, Cowher succumbed to complications related to a long battle with cancer.

Cowher, who led the Steelers to a Super Bowl XL victory in 2005, was a beloved figure in Pittsburgh, known for his tireless work ethic and dedication to the team. His passing has sent shockwaves through the NFL community, with many former players, coaches, and fans paying tribute to his legacy.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our former head coach Bill Cowher,” said Steelers owner Art Rooney II. “Bill was a true leader and a beloved member of our Steelers family. His contributions to our team will never be forgotten.”

Cowher’s coaching career spanned 15 seasons with the Steelers, during which he led the team to eight division titles and two AFC Championship Games. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 202 as a contributor.
