Phoenix, AZ – The Phoenix Suns have taken a commanding 2-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals, stunning the defending champion Golden State Warriors with a thrilling 135-131 overtime victory.


The Suns, led by Devin Booker’s 42 points and 10 rebounds, withstood a furious comeback by the Warriors to secure the win. Phoenix’s Mikal Bridges added 31 points and 6 rebounds, while Deandre Ayton chipped in with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

The Warriors, led by Stephen Curry’s 45 points and 8 assists, fought back from a 14-point deficit in the fourth quarter to force overtime. However, the Suns outscored the Warriors 12-7 in the extra period to seal the win.

“We knew it was going to be a tough game, but our guys showed a lot of heart and determination,” said Suns head coach Monty Williams. “We’re thrilled to get the win and take a 2-0 lead in the series.”

The Suns’ victory marks their 10th consecutive win at home, and sets up a pivotal Game 3 in San Francisco on Friday.

“We’re not satisfied with just two wins,” said Booker. “We know we have a lot of work to do to close out this series.”

The Warriors, meanwhile, are facing a daunting task as they try to climb out of a 2-0 hole.

“We’re not giving up,” said Curry. “We’ve been in tough situations before, and we know we have the talent and the experience to come back.”

The series shifts to San Francisco for Game 3 on Friday, with the Warriors looking to get back on track and the Suns seeking to take a commanding 3-0 lead.
