Tennessee will hire 7 year NFL Vet and former Oklahoma Sooner; Landry Jones as an offensive analyst

Tennessee Titans Hire 7-Year NFL Veteran Landry Jones as Offensive Analyst
The Tennessee Titans have announced the hiring of Landry Jones, a seven-year veteran of the NFL, as their new offensive analyst. Jones, who played quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Jacksonville Jaguars during his career, will now transition to a behind-the-scenes role, where he will assist the Titans’ offensive coaching staff.
Jones, a former standout at the University of Oklahoma, brings a wealth of experience to the position, having played in numerous NFL games since entering the league as a fourth-round draft pick in 2013. His deep understanding of the game, specifically from a quarterback’s perspective, is expected to be a valuable asset to the Titans as they continue to develop their offensive schemes.
During his tenure in the NFL, Jones made several key contributions as a backup quarterback, with his most significant playing time coming with the Steelers. Throughout his career, Jones appeared in 19 games, starting six, and threw for 1,310 yards, seven touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. His ability to quickly assess defenses, read coverage, and manage the tempo of the game gives him a unique perspective on the offensive side of the ball.
At Oklahoma, Jones enjoyed an illustrious college career, setting multiple school records and leading the Sooners to multiple Big 12 championships. He finished his collegiate career with over 16,000 passing yards, 123 touchdowns, and 51 interceptions, earning All-Big 12 honors. His sharp football IQ, poise under pressure, and leadership skills have always been his trademarks, qualities that make him a perfect fit for his new role with the Titans.
As an offensive analyst, Jones will focus on supporting offensive coordinator Tim Kelly and the rest of the coaching staff with game preparation, film breakdown, and strategy development. His wealth of knowledge will be crucial in helping the Titans improve offensively as they look to remain competitive in the AFC South.
With Jones on board, Tennessee hopes to bring a fresh perspective and build upon their offensive efforts as they aim to continue to grow and contend for a playoff spot in the upcoming seasons.
