Senne Lammens outlines the ways Carrick has impressed and won over the Manchester United squad
Senne Lammens has praised Michael Carrick for his ability to deliver a clear and straightforward plan to Manchester United’s players, calling it one of the head coach’s key strengths. He highlighted the positive impact Carrick has had since taking charge.
Since replacing Ruben Amorim in January, Carrick has lost just one of his 10 Premier League games, guiding United to third place and keeping them on track for a Champions League return.
Lammens lauded Carrick’s concise instructions and the clarity of his game plans, noting that the 44-year-old also gives players the freedom to express themselves beyond strict tactical structures.
“From day one, his ability to make everything clear and deliver a direct message stood out. He never made things too complicated or difficult for us,” Lammens told The Athletic while with Belgium’s national team.
