There is a consensus among those who identify as Republican that at least seventy percent of them would be content with Trump being the party’s presidential nominee.

According to the results of a recent poll, Donald Trump is currently ahead of his Republican opponents on key metrics of popularity, while the job approval rating of Vice President Joe Biden has reached a new low at this point.

The results of a poll conducted by ABC News and Ipsos and published on Sunday came one day before the Iowa caucuses, as the race to the presidential elections in the United States of America in 2024 continues to pick up speed.

The results of the study indicated that former President Trump is currently in the lead with a significant edge over the other candidates running for the Republican nomination, which include Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Asa Hutchinson, on three fronts.

A minimum of 68 percent of Republicans and independents who lean toward the Republican Party believe that Donald Trump is the candidate who has the “best chance” of winning the election in November. According to the research, this number drops precipitously to 12 percent for Haley, 11 percent for DeSantis, and single digits for the remaining candidates.

In comparison to the other contenders, Trump is seen to be the “strongest leader” and the “best qualified” to serve as president. This gives him an advantage over the other candidates.

Trump has a significant advantage over his rivals in terms of empathy and common ideals. For being the person who “best represents your values” and for having the best knowledge of “your problems,” he received the most votes, but by a smaller margin than the other candidates.

But Republicans who had completed four years of education were less likely to declare that Trump was the greatest candidate on each of the traits that were examined than those who had not completed college. In comparison, 57 percent of those who do not have a degree responded that Trump is the one who best understands the challenges that people like them face, while only 27 percent of those who have a college degree did the same.

A. Biden, Joe

When taken as a whole, more over seventy percent of Americans who identify as Republican would be content with Trump as the nominee.

On the other hand, 57 percent of Democrats would have the same opinion if the Democratic Party chose Vice President Joe Biden as their candidate for president.

The survey indicates that Vice President Biden’s job approval rating has reached an all-time low of any president of the United States in the past 15 years.

Biden’s approval rating is lower than Trump’s low as president (36 percent), and it is the lowest since George W. Bush from 2006 to 2008, according to the survey. Biden’s approval rating is currently at 33 percent. Biden’s work is not well received by fifty-eight percent of people.

A new low of approximately 31 percent of women approve of the work that Biden has done in office. In the year 2020, he attracted the support of 57% of women. 34 percent of men are satisfied with the work that he has done in office.

There was also no good news from voters who identified as Black or Hispanic: Biden’s approval rating is 21 points below the average among Black people and 15 points below the average among Hispanic people, while it is only 6 points below the average among white people.

In terms of impressions of his honesty and trustworthiness, the research stated that Biden is ahead of Trump when compared to the primary candidates for the Republican and Democratic parties. Forty-one percent of respondents believe that this represents Biden, while twenty-six percent believe that it describes Trump. However, when it comes to the impressions of “mental sharpness” and “physical health” that are required to be president once more, Trump is ahead of Biden.

“A general election between Biden and Trump, if that is the outcome of the primary season, would represent a battle between candidates who are significantly unpopular against one another,” the article went on to say.
