On Monday, a Carnival Cruise Line ship came to the aid of two people who were stuck in a boat.

The crew of the Carnival Jubilee found the two guys off the coast of Isla Mujeres in Mexico. They said they were staying afloat in the kayak after their boat sank.

The cruise company said in a news release, “They were safely welcomed on board and were checked out by the ship’s medical staff. They were also given first aid and food.” Matt Lupoli, a spokesperson for Carnival, did not know any more about the guys.

The men in a boat were seen by the crew of the Jubilee.

“The ship’s crew and Carnival’s Fleet Operation Center staff in Miami stayed in touch with Mexican Navy officials and set up a transfer, which happened soon after the rescue,” the report said.

CruiseMapper says that Jubilee, Carnival’s newest ship, is currently on a week-long trip through the Western Caribbean. On Saturday, the cruise started from Galveston, Texas.

The cruise line said the ship kept going on its original path and would stop at Mahogany Bay in Roatan, Honduras, on Tuesday.

This comes after another Carnival Vista saved six men last month when their small cargo ship sank near the Dominican Republic. In August, the line’s Mardi Gras ship also helped a couple who were stuck on a skiff.
